Basketball Game Preview: Brookville Blue Devils vs. Eaton Eagles

The Brookville Blue Devils and the Eaton Eagles will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Eaton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Brookville, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Brookville turned things around against Madison on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Mohawks by a score of 62-52. The Blue Devils' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Eaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 61-45 fall against Oakwood. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Lumberjacks are ranked 95th).

Eaton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Brookville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Brookville beat Eaton 59-50 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
