Baseball Recap: Case Comes Up Short

Case suffered their closest defeat since May 5, 2025 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Apponequet Regional Lakers by a score of 5-3. The Cardinals have struggled against the Lakers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Case saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Weisburgh, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Weisburgh has brought in this season. Another was Gavin Sale, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Case's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Apponequet Regional, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.
