The Parish Episcopal Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Liberty Christian Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Parish Episcopal will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Trinity Christian, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Trojans 10-8. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Olivia Waterhouse made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Claire Cohen was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Elizabeth Groen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty Christian). They never let Nolan Catholic get on the board and left with a 20-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.
Like Parish Episcopal, Liberty Christian also got a great game from a two-way player: Makenzie Byler. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Byler was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three doubles and four RBI.
In other batting news, Avery Combest and Paige Childers did most of the damage at the plate: Combest fired off four runs, four doubles, and two RBI while going 4-for-4, while Childers went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Faith Ford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Liberty Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nolan Catholic struck out eight times.
Parish Episcopal's record now sits at 9-5. As for Liberty Christian, their record is now 11-5-1.
Parish Episcopal might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Liberty Christian when the teams last played last Friday. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
