            It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Edward had no problem doing just that  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers as they made off with  a  15-1 win. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Green Wave this season.

 Brendan Avila made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Avila was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Mathew Morrice was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.  Michael Cones was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and three  runs.
The  victory was  the third in a row for St. Edward, bringing their record up to 4-26. The  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Rochelle Zell Jewish, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record  this season.
As of now, neither St. Edward nor Rochelle Zell Jewish have any future games scheduled.
