Prairie has gone 9-1 against Lapwai recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pirates will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Prairie has four straight victories, Lapwai has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Prairie got the win against Genesee by a conclusive 25-8. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won five contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jake Quintal, who went 3-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Schumacher, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Prairie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Lapwai couldn't beat Kendrick on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Wildcats lost 18-5 to the Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Lapwai saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Thamius Sherman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Jereese McCormack also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Prairie's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Lapwai, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Prairie has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .558. However, it's not like Lapwai struggles in that department as they've averaged .500. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Prairie took their win against Lapwai in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 20-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
