Basketball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. West Forsyth Titans

The R.J. Reynolds Demons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the West Forsyth Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.

R.J. Reynolds is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 82 points on Friday, they were much more limited against East Forsyth on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Eagles and fell 60-19. The game marked the Demons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They snuck past the War Eagles with a 54-49 win.

West Forsyth pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for R.J. Reynolds, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

R.J. Reynolds came up short against West Forsyth when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 55-45. Can R.J. Reynolds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
