Basketball Recap: Revere Minutemen vs. Bedford Bearcats
On Sunday, the Revere Minutemen ended up a good deal behind the Bedford Bearcats and lost 70-54. While losing is never fun, the Minutemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 448th, while the Bearcats are ranked 187th).
Terrell Pollard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bedford, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Pollard is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last 28 games he's played dating back to last season. Kevin Woodgett III was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points and five assists.
The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-5. As for Bedford, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3.
Revere didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-60 defeat against Trinity on the 27th. As for Bedford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-66 victory against Maple Heights on the 3rd.
