Basketball Recap: High Point Central Find Success + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but High Point Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Asheboro Blue Comets by a score of 74-64. The Bison have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Comets, too.

Josiah Hill produced another solid effort almost dropping a double-double with 41 points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Graves, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

The win made it two in a row for High Point Central and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points over those games. As for Asheboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, High Point Central will venture away from home to square off against Southwest Guilford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will need to watch out since the Cowboys have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Asheboro, they will be playing at home against Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Comets will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 60 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
