Soccer Recap: Ripon Christian Triumphs

Ripon Christian played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over the Sonora Wildcats. The Knights' winning goal came courtesy of Drew Meester.

Ripon Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-4-4. As for Sonora, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ripon Christian will take on Hilmar at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ripon Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for Sonora, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Sonora challenge the Escalon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonora also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 3 goals per game.
