Game recap: Ripon High School Football Team defeats Orestimba

RIPON, Calif. - Michael Ysit ran for two touchdowns and Evan Costa added two as well as Ripon (Calif.) bested Orestimba (Newman, Calif.) 66-0 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Ysit touchdown run in the first quarter, the Indians led 56-0 at the half.

Ripon expanded its lead to 59 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored once in the quarter on a field goal by Roberto Alvarez.

The Indians put up 34 points in the first quarter en route to the win. Ripon rushed for five touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including one by Ryan Fugit.

Ripon's standout player in the win was Fugit. The junior running back ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored 10 touchdowns on the season.



The Indians went into the matchup giving up only 10.7 points per game. The zero points that the Warriors ended with were well below their average of 13.3 coming into the game.

The loss was the fourth in a row for Orestimba.

OHS (1-8) will play a Trans Valley League game against Modesto Christian next week. The Crusaders have put together a 5-3 record on the year so far.
