Basketball Preview: Madison County Cowboys vs. Brooks County Trojans
Madison County is 4-0 against Brooks County since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Madison County Cowboys will challenge the Brooks County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Madison County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Brooks County likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Madison County strolled past Taylor County with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Louis Gaddy Jr was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 24 rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Micah Newman, who posted 11 points.
