Softball Recap: Audrey Lee's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lynbrook over Saratoga

The matchup between Lynbrook and Saratoga on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Vikings might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-2 to the Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Lynbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Audrey Lee, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple. IshanvI Hullur also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Lynbrook dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Saratoga, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Lynbrook has already played their next contest, a 21-1 defeat against Fremont on the 4th. As for Saratoga, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Los Altos at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
