Basketball Recap: Ben Bestgen Key Part of Team Effort in Cardinals Win

Tipton won the last time they faced Russellville and things went their way on Monday too. The Tipton Cardinals secured a 64-60 W over the Russellville Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Tipton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Bestgen, who went 7-for-17 to rack up 16 points and five rebounds. Bestgen is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played. Lucas Cashman was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 11 points and eight boards.

Tipton's victory bumped their record up to 10-15. As for Russellville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Coming up, Tipton will challenge Chamois at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Russellville, they will face off against Vienna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
