Basketball Recap: Winnacunnet Comes Up Short

Winnacunnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 54-40 to the Goffstown Grizzlies. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Winnacunnet's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Goffstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Coming up, Winnacunnet will challenge Nashua South at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Nashua South knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Winnacunnet likes a good challenge. As for Goffstown, they will take on Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Exeter will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Goffstown surely won't give up without a fight.
