Recap: Achievement First vs. Brooklyn Tech Engineers
Achievement First's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Brooklyn Tech. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Troy Hornbeck, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds for Brooklyn Tech. The matchup was Hornbeck's third in a row with at least ten points. Chadwyck Beckford was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Achievement First's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Brooklyn Tech, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
