Soccer Game Preview: Gladwin vs. Shepherd

The Gladwin Flying G will take on the Shepherd Bluejays at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shepherd took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gladwin, who comes in off a win.

While Gladwin's win against Clare wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Flying G's beat the Pioneers by a goal, winning 4-3. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Gladwin considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Shepherd challenged Ogemaw Heights on Tuesday. The Bluejays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Shepherd haven't had much luck with Ogemaw Heights recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Shepherd's loss dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Gladwin, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Everything went Gladwin's way against Shepherd in their previous meeting on April 7th, as Gladwin made off with a 6-0 win. Do the Flying G's have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bluejays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
