Baseball Game Preview: Spring Garden Panthers vs. Section Lions

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Spring Garden Panthers duke it out with Section Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Spring Garden's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Section has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Spring Garden gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against Sand Rock as Spring Garden made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Section ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Sand Rock 9-8. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Spring Garden is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. Section's victory bumped their record up to 3-7.
