Volleyball Recap: Somerset Comes Up Short

If Somerset was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Westmont Hilltop two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers on Monday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Golden Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.

Eve Housley paced Somerset's offense, picking up seven kills. Housley got some help from Elly Fletcher and her 13 assists. Housley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Somerset's loss dropped their record down to 23-6-1. As for Hollidaysburg, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

As of now, neither Somerset nor the Golden Tigers have any future games scheduled.
