Softball Recap: Dixie Heights Takes a Loss

Dixie Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Frederick Douglass Broncos, falling 16-1. The Colonels were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Dixie Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Frederick Douglass, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4-1.

Dixie Heights didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-4 loss against Campbell County on the 8th. As for Frederick Douglass, they have also already played their next game, a 7-6 defeat against Lexington Catholic on the 8th.
