Vidor and Jasper are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. The Pirates will venture away from home to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Vidor will be strutting in after a victory while Jasper will be coming in after a loss.

Vidor was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hardin-Jefferson 3-2. Vidor's winning goal came courtesy of Troy McElveen.

Meanwhile, Jasper entered their matchup against Lumberton on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs lost 5-0 to the Raiders. While losing is never fun, Jasper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 564th, while Lumberton are ranked 182nd).

Vidor has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those five matches. As for Jasper, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6-1.

Vidor suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Jasper in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Pirates were down 5-0.
