Baseball Recap: Norwich Comes Up Short

Norwich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Susquehanna Valley Sabers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple Tornado of the 11-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Norwich saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zack Parker, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Collin Reid also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Norwich's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Susquehanna Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

While Norwich had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
