Basketball Recap: Ashland Takes a Loss

Ashland lost against Madawaska last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ashland Hornets took a blow against the Madawaska Owls, falling 70-24. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Owls are ranked 15th).

Ashland has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Madawaska, the win keeps them at an undefeated 19-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Madawaska beat Ashland by a score of 70-24 on Monday.
