Soccer Game Preview: O'Fallon vs. St. Louis University

The O'Fallon Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the St. Louis University Junior Bills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. O'Fallon is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Thursday. O'Fallon and Mehlville finished up their contest with a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked O'Fallon's first draw of the season.

Kolby Clanin and Ian Dew scored both of O'Fallon's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, St. Louis University had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Kahoks with a sharp 8-0 victory. That eight goal margin sets a new team best for St. Louis University this season.

O'Fallon's draw makes their record 7-5-1 this season. As for St. Louis University, their win bumped their record up to 11-2-1.

O'Fallon couldn't quite get it done against St. Louis University when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
