Basketball Recap: Columbia River Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hudson's Bay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbia River). They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging an 87-12 win over the Hudson's Bay Eagles. The Rapids have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Columbia River pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for Hudson's Bay, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia River has already played their next contest (against Hockinson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hudson's Bay will square off against Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Hudson's Bay likes a good challenge.
