Volleyball Recap: Myrtle Beach Comes Up Short

Myrtle Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Socastee Braves, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 3, 2024, but that streak is no more.

While Myrtle Beach was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Socastee's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-17.

Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Socastee, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Myrtle Beach and Socastee will both be playing Carolina Forest the next time they take the court. The Braves will head out to face the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Seahawks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
