Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Abilene). They were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Marysville Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Abilene's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Marysville, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Abilene beat the Bulldogs by a score of 14-8 later that day.
