Softball Recap: Hurley Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hurley waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Blue Eye Bulldogs with a sharp 11-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Addy Maxwell spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dacia Grubbs, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Young, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Hurley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Blue Eye, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Hurley has already played their next game, a 10-7 victory against Billings on the 25th. As for Blue Eye, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-8 defeat against Crane on the 28th.
