Basketball Game Preview: Bolivar Liberators vs. Aurora Houn Dawgs

The Bolivar Liberators will head out to face off against the Aurora Houn Dawgs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bolivar is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 64-43 margin over Central on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Liberators have posted since December 2, 2024.

Meanwhile, Aurora blew past Branson, posting a 66-32 victory. The Houn Dawgs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season.

The win snapped Bolivar's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-8 record. As for Aurora, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Bolivar came up short against Aurora when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 57-48. Can Bolivar avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
