Soccer Recap: Bald Eagle Area Takes a Loss

There was early excitement for Bald Eagle Area after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Bellefonte Raiders by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Bald Eagle Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Bellefonte are ranked 109th).

Bald Eagle Area's goal came courtesy of Connor Maney, who's now up to nine this season.

Bald Eagle Area's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Bellefonte, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Bald Eagle Area has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy on the 20th. As for Bellefonte, they will face off against Greater Johnstown at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bellefonte are facing Greater Johnstown at the right time seeing as Greater Johnstown are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
