Softball Recap: William Tennent Comes Up Short

If William Tennent was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Lower Moreland last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the New Hope-Solebury Lions on Tuesday, falling 18-3. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

William Tennent's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2. As for New Hope-Solebury, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. William Tennent will face off against rival Quakertown at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, New Hope-Solebury is set to square off against their familiar foe Hatboro-Horsham at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 3.2, the Hatters 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
