Preview: South Anchorage Wolverines vs. West Anchorage Eagles
The South Anchorage Wolverines are on the road again on Saturday and play against the West Anchorage Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on October 21st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (South Anchorage is ranked seventh, while West Anchorage is ranked second).
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, South Anchorage beat Bartlett 26-20.
Meanwhile, West Anchorage had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They didn't even let Service onto the board and left with a 51-0 win. The result was nothing new for West Anchorage, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Their wins bumped South Anchorage to 5-5 and West Anchorage to 9-2.
South Anchorage was taken down by West Anchorage 42-14 in their previous matchup back in August. Can South Anchorage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
