Softball Recap: Watervliet Takes a Loss

Watervliet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-4 to the South Haven Rams. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Watervliet saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Akira Hill, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Dezi Warren also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Watervliet's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for South Haven, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Watervliet by a score of 17-0 later that day.
