Softball Game Preview: St. Petersburg Catholic Barons vs. Boca Ciega Pirates

The St. Petersburg Catholic Barons will head out to take on the Boca Ciega Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Petersburg Catholic is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

St. Petersburg Catholic came up short against Admiral Farragut on Monday, falling 18-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Boca Ciega was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 13-2 to Hollins. The Pirates have struggled against the Royals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Lexi Bordeaux made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2.

St. Petersburg Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Boca Ciega, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

St. Petersburg Catholic might still be hurting after the 15-6 loss they got from Boca Ciega in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Barons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
