Virginia High was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the Grundy Golden Wave.

Virginia High's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Grundy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Virginia High will be playing at home against Rye Cove at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grundy, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Honaker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
