Cathedral gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They put the hurt on the St. Joseph Catholic Bruins with a sharp 37-13 win. The Green Wave not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 30, 2024 (when they won 34-10).

Cathedral wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 47-28 victory against St. Andrew's Episcopal on the 29th. As for St. Joseph Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 32-22 defeat against Copiah Academy on the 29th.
