Volleyball Recap: Treasure Valley Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Treasure Valley Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverstone International Otters. While Treasure Valley Classical Academy didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Riverstone International 25-17 in the first set.

Treasure Valley Classical Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-21, 15-9.

Loss or not, Treasure Valley Classical Academy got some senior leadership from Araceli Sanchez and Ella Burke. Sanchez had 16 digs and two aces, while Burke had six digs and three aces. Sanchez has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Treasure Valley Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Riverstone International, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

As of now, neither Treasure Valley Classical Academy nor Riverstone International have any future games scheduled.
