After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grandview, Palmer was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 15-4 margin over Rice. Considering Palmer's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kenli Dobie made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
