Basketball Recap: Indian Springs Comes Up Short

If Indian Springs was feeling good fresh off their 68-44 takedown of Oak Grove last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indian Springs Student were beaten by the Fairfield Tigers 85-48 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Student can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Tigers are ranked tenth).

Indian Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dylan Heald, who posted 14 points. Ben Simms was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Indian Springs' record is now 10-10. As for Fairfield, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-3.

Indian Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-26 victory against Holy Family Catholic on the 28th. As for Fairfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-30 win against Oak Grove on the 24th.
