Basketball Recap: Mingo Valley Christian Takes a Loss

Mingo Valley Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-32 heartbreaker at the hands of Regent Prep. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Regent Prep apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Mingo Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Jadyn Williams, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Owens, who earned seven points.

Mingo Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Regent Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Regent Prep, they will head out to take on Wesleyan Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
