Football Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Comes Up Short

Lake Oconee Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 27-7 to the Greene County Tigers. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Jake McDonald threw for 114 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes. Cj Stembridge was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Alden Barreras rushed for 36 yards.

Lake Oconee Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Greene County, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Lake Oconee Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greene County, they have already played their next game, a 42-0 defeat against Lincoln County on the 31st.
