Basketball Recap: Ripon Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

If Leadership wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Ripon, they should've done a better job of containing Marcus Madoski. The Ripon Indians blew past Leadership 64-34 on Saturday thanks in part to Madoski, who went 10 of 13 en route to 23 points along with eight boards and four steals. His afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Hickman, who posted four points and eight boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.

Ripon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Leadership, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Ripon will take on Placer in a tournament on Thursday. As for Leadership, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leadership is facing Millennium at the right time seeing as Millennium is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
