Soccer Recap: Belton-Honea Path Comes Up Short

After flying high against West-Oak last Thursday, Belton-Honea Path came back down to earth. The Bears fell just short of the Palmetto Mustangs by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 3, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Taylor Tucker and Seth Ferguson scored both of Belton-Honea Path's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Belton-Honea Path's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Palmetto, their record is now 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path will venture away from home to challenge Crescent at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palmetto, they will square off against Walhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
