Softball Recap: Modesto Takes a Loss

Modesto had lost five straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 8-19 to make it six. They came up short against the Enochs Eagles, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Modesto saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Ramirez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Enochs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

On Enochs' side, they got a massive performance out of Lillian Camarena, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Joella Amezcua, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Modesto nor Enochs have any future games scheduled.
