Volleyball Recap: Rushford-Peterson Beats Goodhue for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Rushford-Peterson waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Goodhue Wildcats as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The victory didn't come easy: Goodhue scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Ava Helgemoe paced Rushford-Peterson's offense, picking up ten kills. Helgemoe got some help from Kayla Magin and her 17 assists. Avree Connaughty controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Rushford-Peterson's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Goodhue, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Goodhue will welcome Cleveland at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Rushford-Peterson will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' matchup: after the Wildcats face off against LeRoy-Ostrander, they'll take on Rushford-Peterson again at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
