It was a good run, but West Greene unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 42-27 to the South Greene Rebels. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 50-47.

West Greene's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joie Shipley, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. Shipley has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Morgan Brown was another key player, putting up six points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

West Greene now has a losing record at 10-11. As for South Greene, they moved to 6-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

West Greene wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 47-28 win against Hancock County on the 1st. As for South Greene, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-43 loss against Cocke County on the 1st.
