Basketball Recap: Wyomissing Picks Up 21st Straight Win at Home

Wyomissing extended their home winning streak to 21 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Amaya Stewart. The Wyomissing Spartans breezed by the Hamburg Hawks to the tune of 66-15 on Tuesday thanks in part to Stewart, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Wyomissing's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Paolini, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Those eight points gave her a new career-high.

Wyomissing's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Hamburg, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Wyomissing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-31 victory against Schuylkill Valley on the 29th. Hamburg has also already played their next contest (against Fleetwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
