Basketball Recap: Manny Davis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eau Claire over Clinton

On Thursday, the Eau Claire Shamrocks came up short against the Clinton Red Devils and fell 52-44.

Eau Claire's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Manny Davis, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was AJ Garner, who had ten points.

Clinton can attribute much of their success to Cristian Jones, who put up 16 points. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tushawan Richardson, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Eau Claire's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Clinton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clinton beat Eau Claire by a score of 51-48 on Friday.
