After a string of five wins, Ovid-Elsie's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumen Christi Catholic Titans.

Ovid-Elsie's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tryce Tokar, who went 8-for-15 en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Loynes, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Ovid-Elsie's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-3.

Ovid-Elsie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-30 loss against Richard on the 11th.
