Volleyball Recap: West Delaware's Winning Streak Snapped at 11 Games

It was a good run, but West Delaware unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wapsie Valley Warriors. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Wapsie Valley can attribute much of their success to Kalle Voy, who had 15 digs and three assists. Those three assists gave Voy a new career-high.

West Delaware's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Wapsie Valley, their record is now 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Delaware will challenge rival Mt. Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wapsie Valley is set to face off against their familiar foe Aplington-Parkersburg at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
