Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Blue Ridge). They really took it to the S & S Consolidated Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-44 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

S & S Consolidated lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brenden Hammer, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Adam Mutz, who posted ten points and eight boards.

Blue Ridge's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 4-14. As for S & S Consolidated, they dropped their record down to 1-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.

Blue Ridge and S & S Consolidated could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings.
